'Home' (2016) is a very personal documentary project I completed during my second year of university.
After very suddenly losing my mum in April 2016, I began photographing my home where I grew up and where I have lived my whole life. The whole house was a memory of her, this was the life that she had built for myself and my sister. I wanted to explore the elements of the place that reminded me of her, which then led me into using archive family photos of her and the house. This project looks at the past and present versions of my home that I grew up in and the relation the home has to my memory of my mum.
